Isadore Martin was the head of Berean Building and Loan Association, which used investors money to provide loans for people who wanted to buy homes throughout the Great Migration in Philadelphia. Berean Building and Loan Association allowed numerous southern African Americans to buy their homes in West Philadelphia. This advertisement allowed for the development of a unique home owner culture throughout new Philadelphians.
