Last Sunday was a fine, ideal summer day, and the services the entire day at Mother Bethel were equally as nice. It is remarkable what large crowds attend the various services during these hot months. Last Sunday mmorning the church was alost crowded, and a fine congregation at night. "Of course, there's a reason." Last Sunday was a most busy and strenuous[???] day for Rev. Dr. Anderson. He occupied his pulpit morning and evening himself. At 11 o'clock he delivered a most able and highly practical discourse from Matt. 24:45; Subject, "Loyalty." The sermon was full of advice, instruction and wholesome truth.
At 8 p.m. Dr. Anderson delivered another able and soul-stirring sermon from Philippians 3:4. We were glad to get[???] such large attendance at the Sunday morning classes.
The Sunday school held a brief but instructive session. Supt., Mr. Harry, certainly pushed tihings rapidly, accomplishing much good in a little time, and all seemed to appreciate it because of the early hour of mismission.
The Allen C. E. League held a fine service at 6:30 p.m.
The Junior League, Mr. Clarence Lewis, president, is making splendid progress.
